Training Guide
Zero Pressures
- Shoulder – rear shoulder hole plus elbow (Lanka 1 lock)
- Shoulder 2 – rear shoulder hole plus wrist (Bizet Dalem – step in front)
- Neck – rear neck hole plus elbow (Lanka 1 sweep or Sapu Dalem)
- Neck 2 – anterior neck hole (slap ear) plus wrist (Bizet Dalem – step behind)
Basic Hands
- Dog Slaps or Whips also known as strike left or right – attacking slaps where second slap comes from ear chamber (best slap for ripping backfist in Kilap Hands #2)
- Clearing or Sweeping Slap plus Join (Orlando) where join comes from elbow chamber
- Destructive Slap plus Extended Join Towards Opponents Face – join also comes from elbow chamber (think Rise and Fall or Play the Guitar from Tai Chi form)
Kilap Hand/Elbow Flow Drills
- Kilap 1 – attacks face
- Left
- Right
- Kilap 2 – attacks ribs
- Left
- Left Rip – strike left plus horizontal ripping backfist
- Right
- Kilap Elbow
- Basic Method – right and left
- Basic Method plus hacksaw
- Inside Rolling Elbow (uses Backward Upward Turning Chin Na and Cloud Hands)
Kilap Arm Flow Drill
- Bicep Destruction – outside entry #3 with punch or slap to chin or bicep gunting to top rip to right punch
- Top Rip – uses outside entry #4 to top rip to right punch
- Cloud Hands – Rolling elbow – slap left, join to vertical elbow to horizontal elbow to biceps elbow to downward elbow into elbow hole to Backward Upward Turning (opponent’s right) to cloud hands backslap (R) to right punch

Outside Entries – against right punch
- Slap Right (L) then Punch to Chin (R) (over opponent’s arm)
- Slap Right (L) then Punch/Join to Chin (Join to opponent’s arm)
- Simultaneously Slap Right (L) and Punch to Chin (under opponent’s arm)
- Simultaneously Slap Right (L) and Punch to Ribs (under opponent’s arm)
- Simultaneously Slap Right (L) and Punch to Pelvic Hole or Groin (under opponent’s arm)

Inside Entries – against right punch
- The Dive: Dive or Part Curtain to opponent’s right shoulder (against a curved punch where center line is open)
- The Dive with Slap: Slap Left (R) then Dive or Part Curtain to opponent’s right shoulder (against a straight punch)
- Cover and Hit: Part Curtain/Join to Wrist (L Knife Hand) then Punch to Chin (R)
- Cover and Hit With Parry or Slap: Slap Left (R)/Join To Wrist (L) then Punch to Chin (R)
- Slap Left(R) then Punch Chin/Join (L) then Cover and Hit (#3)

Basic Chin Na Training
Two types of Coiling to Drill:
Inner Elbow Coiling to elbow hole (elbow sealed up):
- Large Python Turns It’s Body
- Lion Worships the Buddha or Large Elbow Wrap
Outer Elbow Coiling to outer elbow:
- Hands Prop Up A Large Beam – straight elbow
- Heaven King Supports The Pagoda – bent elbow
Serak Jurus 1-6 – Willem de Thouars
- #1 – Part curtain to fist destruction to horizontal elbow to double wipe eyebrows/punch left (WPL) to double wipe/punch right (WPR)
- #2 – Cover right fist to straight punch right to WPL to WPR
- #3 – #1 plus up palm strike and rip to groin
- #4 – #2 to neutralizing elbow to elbow upper cut to chin
- #5 – #1 to forearm to elbow hole to elbow uppercut to chin or forearm to throat
- #6 – #1 to ward-off to straight punch right to repeat WPL and WPR
